Sobering Sunday…

Today is dedicated to Tanner Barbara.  No I didn’t know him personally as he was a year behind my boys at the Murphy School in Weymouth.  However, I am sure I have seen him in the many Winter and Spring concerts, the book fairs, the Math nights and the Halloween Vocabulary parades through the years.

Tanner passed this past week of a sudden illness which not only has taken him from this life, but also robbed the countless others whom he has touched in his young life.

I am filled with emotion at his passing and the devastating loss his parents and siblings must be filled with at this time.  It serves as a harsh reminder to me as a Mom of a nine and ten year old how finite our time is on this earth….Let us go forth and rejoice in our children being children.

My lessons for the day…

1.     Say I love you as many times as you can fit in a day!

2.     Don’t sweat the small stuff such as an unmade bed, socks on the floor…

3.     Thank God everyday for the gift of being a Mom…

Thank you Tanner…may you be lifted up on Angel’s wings…
