The End of Your Life BookClub by Will Schwalbe

Rarely do I give a book 5 stars…in fact I can’t remember the last time I did.  This is an amazing story and tribute to both Mother and Son.  When MaryAnne is diagnosed with a life changing illness, Will gets to know and appreciate his Mom in ways he has never known.  Their passionate love of reading and books takes them into their own Book Club where they share many books over a period of a few years.
Schwalbe is a talented literary professional, which makes the reading of this book flow as if he was speaking to you in person.  There are no cliff hangers or nail biting moments; more like a passage to a sometimes far away land and then back home for the resolution of MaryAnne’s disease and the end of the story.

People who are passionate about books will definitely “get” this book more than perhaps the casual reader, however it is a story for all of us sons and daughters which gifts the reader with an important message. Explore what you are passionate about and share that passion with those closest to you.

There are many great books mentioned within the book (alot I had never even heard of) so I will have plenty to research and hopefully add to my growing TBR pile.   Please, please give this book a try!

You will long remember these wonderful people long after you finish the last page.  I only wish I would have had MaryAnne in my life…oh the discussions we would have enjoyed.
